Austin Hewitt. Fotomúsicas.

Austin Hewitt tiene tan sólo 17 años y es oriundo de Atlanta, Georgia...Estados Unidos. Sus fotografías llamaron la atención de L&M por lo que decidimos hacerle una mini entrevista, la cual tradujimos debajo. Le preguntamos sobre su actividad, sus artistas favoritos y esto fue lo que nos contó:

Well I started about 2 years ago as a freshman in highschool, and I gt serious about it the summer after my freshman year.

And when it comes to my shots, they don't always have a concept behind them, but when it comes to working with clients I definitely like to have some sort of idea in mind. But if I'm out shooting with friends it's usually just random shots of whatever we come up with haha.

Hmmm my favorite artist is probably Joey Lawrence or Annie Liebovitz. Annies photography for vanity fair always blows my mind. She's got this artistic vision that always shines through in her work. It sets her apart from everyone else. As for Joey, he is incredible at working with lighting! A true inspiration to me.

When it comes to music, I love metal and indie. Two very oppostite genres but both equally influential with my photography. I love listening to music while I shoot, and odd as it may seem, I feel like what I'm listening to does affect the tone of my shots haha. Metal inspires me to create a very dark or edgey image, whereas listening to soft acoustic music could inspire me to create a rather laid back joyful mood to my shot.

I'd have to say my favourite movie is Awakenings. Robin Williams is so fantastic in it! It shows how underrated of an actor he truly is!

Bueno, empecé hará 2 años atrás como Freshman en la secundaria, y me lo tomé en serio el verano después de mi graduación.

Cuando se trata de mis fotografías, no siempre tienen una idea o un concepto detrás, sin embargo cuando se trata de trabajar con un cliente, definitivamente me gusta tener alguna suerte de idea en mente. Pero si estoy sacando fotos con mis amigos, usualmente son imágenes tomadas en forma aleatoria de cualquier cosa que se nos ocurra jaja.

Hmmm, mi artista favorito probablemente sea Joey Lawrence o Annie Liebovitz. Las fotos de Annie para Vanity Fair siempre me vuelan la cabeza. Tiene esa visión artística que siempre brilla en su obra, que la distingue de todos los demás artistas. Joel es increíble cuando trabaja con la iluminación! Es una verdadera inspiración para mi.

Cuando se trata de música, amo el metal y el indie. Dos géneros completamente opuestos pero igual de influyentes en mi fotografía. Amo escuchar música mientras saco fotos, y aunque parezca extraño, siento que lo que escucho afecta en el tono de mis fotos jaja.

El Metal me inspira a crear una imagen bien oscura y border, mientras que escuchar música tranquila puede inspirarme a crear un clima divertido y más relajado en la foto.

Debo decir que mi película favorita es Awakenings. Robin Williams está fantástico ahí! Demuestra cuan poco valorado y subestimado es como actor!
